Craigleith Heritage Depot Lecture Series 2010

Posted: March 30, 2010
The lectures are held at the Beaver Valley Community Centre from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the cost is $7 per lecture or $10 per couple. Youth aged 18 and under pay $4 and a year pass is available for $65. Museum members receive a 10 per cent discount.

The Blue Mountains' own Dorris Heffron, internationally acclaimed Canadian author, will give a talk on her latest novel, City Wolves, a captivating tale of a Canadian pioneer woman making a road for herself as the first female veterinarian in the nation. The story of Meg Wilkinson is set in the centre of the chaotic and exciting Yukon Gold Rush and intertwined with the ancient tale of the origin of the Malamute - Canada's sled dog. Heffron will give her talk on Monday, September 27, at the Community Centre.
