TOWN BUDGET - Public Meeting, January 26
A Statutory Public Meeting to review the estimates will be held at the regularly scheduled Council meeting on January 26, 2009 at the L. E. Shore Memorial Library, 183 Bruce Street South Thornbury. Any person may attend the Public Meeting and / or make written or verbal representation regarding the 2009 Draft Budget.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of The Blue Mountains, at its regularly scheduled Council Meeting of February 9, 2009 intends to adopt the Estimated Revenues and Expenditures for all departments of the Town for the year 2009.  L. E. Shore Memorial Library. Proposed budget forms can be seen on the town website www.thebluemountains.ca

has introduced a new buffet menu at their restaurant for lunch and dinner. They are inviting members fpr a complimentary Italian Dinner Buffet on Wed Jan 28. The Chamber of Commerce on behalf of its membership has submitted recommendations to Town Council concerning a variety of local issues; parking study; noise bylaw; Collingwood airport and the current proposed budget. Ontario Tourism features The APPLE PIE TRAIL!

During the Canadian Tourism Commission conference “GoMedia” in Toronto this week OTMPC (Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corp) featured the Blue Mountains Apple Pie Trail at a reception in Toronto's Historic Distillery District. Over 400 delegates were in attendance, of which half represent local and international travel journalists.

Craigleith Heritage Depot Lecture Series 2010

The lectures are held at the Beaver Valley Community Centre from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the cost is $7 per lecture or $10 per couple. Youth aged 18 and under pay $4 and a year pass is available for $65. Museum members receive a 10 per cent discount.
