BENEFIT DANCE for WAYNE KEENAN - a Celebration of Life & Health (sponsored by friends & the Beaver Valley Kinsmen)
Saturday, February 21, 8:00pm , Beaver Valley Community Centre
As many of you already know, Wayne has worked for Thornbury Car Quest for 26 years, grew up and is well known in the area.In May of 2008, Wayne was diagnosed with cancer in his right lung. After months of waiting for surgery, he finally had it removed. Since then, he not only has had a painful and difficult journey to recovery, he also has battled a grueling setback. In November, a deadly infection filled his lung cavity which could easily have killed him, however his positive strength has persevered. Wayne is now slowly recovering at home with his wife, Cecile and family. As his sister, Deb, said to me, "He has had such an emotionally, physically and financially draining year. My brother cried when we told him that a few people in Thornbury, with the help of the Kinsmen, will be putting on a benefit dance for him and Cecile. This is what small towns and family are all about."If you have any items you'd like to donate for Wayne's Silent Auction, they would be VERY much appreciated. Please contact: - Ross or Sherry Davison, Thornbury Car Quest, 519-599-2010 - Deb & Jim Chapman, 519-599-7495 Tickets $10.00 per person Email: debbcee@hotmail.com
